text of obituary:

Charlotte Koehn

Charlotte Nadine Koehn, was born at Montezuma, Kansas, May 14, 1936, and died June 24, 1937, at the home of her parents in Montezuma. Age, 1 year, 1 month and 10 days.

Charlotte came into our home as a blossoming rose, bringing much sunshine and joy with her. Her smiling face of childhood spoke forth the good will of her desires. Even though so young she won the friendship of many.

She enjoyed health and happiness until about four months ago when it was noticed she was ill. Medical aid and skill was sought slowly failed, and it was plainly seen that she would not be with us long, although she bore her pain and misery patiently. Thursday morning at four o’clock, June 24, she went home to be with Jesus.

The cause of her death was splenic anemia.

She leaves to mourn her so early departure, her deeply bereaved parents, both grandparents, and a host of relatives and friends.

We mourn, but not for fear, since she is at home with Jesus waiting our coming. For her the struggles of life are over for all eternity.

Darling thou are sweetly resting
On the lovely Savior’s breast,
Pain and sickness, death and sorrow,
Never can distress thee more.

The Parents, Orlie and Elda Koehn.
