— Following a two weeks illness of influenza, George Knittel, who was well known as a resident of this city for many years, passed away at his home Saturday afternoon. Mr. Knittel was born in Russia on May 3, 1855, a son of John and Marlatta (Miller) Knittel. The deceased's first wife, nee Barbara Ollenberger, died in 1910, and he was later married to Lucy Goldschmidt, who now survives him. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the First Methodist church.
