SERIOUS FARM AND HOME ACCIDENTS AMONG MENNONITES IN MEXICO

Cuauhtemoc, Mexico. — Several serious accidents have occurred among colonists here recently.

At Santa Clara, a young man was killed when he was crushed under an overturned tractor. At Rosenort, Jacob Enns was in critical condition after being struck by lightning.

At Hochfeld, the daughter of Gerhard Klassen was burned to death when a kerosene can caught fire as she tried to light a stove at the Franz Peters home, where she was working. Peters ran to her aid, tore some of the burning clothes from her body but was unable to save her.

A doctor who was immediately called said the girl was beyond recovery. She spent her conscious moments in much talking and praying and died after 10 hours of intense suffering. — Reported by A. J. Dyck.
