JOHN B. KLASSEN, 48

John B. Klassen, 48, of Haney, B.C., died of a heart attack on January 10. He was born in Rerberg, So. Russia, where he spent his childhood and youth and completed his high school training. In 1929 the family emigrated to Canada. In 1931 he accepted Christ and was baptized in 1933 and joined the Winkler M.B. Church. He was married in 1938 and spent a number of years working at the Christian Press. In 1946 the family left Winnipeg and moved to a small farm in Greendale, B.C., where they remained until 1950, experiencing the flood of 1948. After this a move was made to Vancouver. In 1952 he had an attack of Menigitis which impaired his health. In 1961 he suffered a severe heart attack, but recovered miraculously. The family then moved to Haney to be close to his job. It was here that he suffered another attack.

Left to mourn his early passing are his wife, one son and one daughter, 3 grandchildren, his father, 2 brothers, 3 sisters and many relatives and friends.
