— The accidental death of Jacob Klassen, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Klassen, cast a shadow of sorrow over the community at Coaldale, Alta., during the later part of October. Jacob was fatally injured when he was struck by a passing automobile while walking on the highway at night with a friend, Peter Rempel. The youth was thrown 20 feet by the force of the impact. Rushed to an hospital, he lingered there until he passed away on Oct. 23, two days after the accident. Funeral services were held at the Mennonite Brethren church at Coaldale.
