Arnold D. Klassen, 69, a retired farmer of rural Newton, died April 26 at his home. Funeral services took place April 30 at the Tabor Mennonite Church with James Schrag in charge. He was married in 1937 to Martha Doerksen, who died in 1977. Surviving are a son, Donald R. of Wichita; a daughter, Marcia (Mrs. Norman) Hiebert of rural Newton; two brothers, Dave of Hillsboro and Herman of Walton; four sisters, Susie Winter of Hillsboro, Eva Brandt of Wichita, Mary Thiessen of Inman and Sarah Bell of Marion; and six grandchildren.
