Newton And
Vicinity

. . .

— Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph A. Klassen of the Alexanderwohl community have the deep sympathy of their many friends in the death of their five months old daughter, Aganetha Ann, who died quite suddenly and unexpectedly on Thursday, Sept. 13. The child had suffered from a slight cold, but was not seriously ill when it developed an apparent breathing difficulty on Thursday morning. The parents rushed the little girl to the Bethesda Hospital at Goessel but she passed away before they arrived. All resuscitation efforts at the hospital were of no avail. The funeral was held Sunday forenoon, Dr. P. A. Penner of Newton being in charge of the services at the home, while Rev. C. C. Wedel and Rev. Phil A. Wedel conducted the services at the Alexanderwohl church. Dr. Penner and Rev. P. A. Wedel also led the committal service at the grave. The death of their daughter was the sixth death in the immediate relationship of Mr. and Mrs. Klassen n the past two years. Peter J. Strausz, Mrs. Klassen's father, died only a few weeks ago as result of fatal burns received when his home was destroyed by fire.
