M. B. Teacher, Church Leader Dies

Hillsboro, Kan. — Frank B. Klaassen, who served on the Tabor College faculty and Mennonite Brethren Board of Welfare, died here April 15 as a result of a stroke he suffered on April 12. He was 70 years old.

The funeral service is scheduled this Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Hillsboro M. B. Church.

Surviving are Mrs. Klaassen and two children: Irma, Mrs. Menno Thiessen and family, Inman, and David and his wife Ruth, teaching in the American School of Kinshasa, congo, with the M. B. Missions Service. Dave is expected to come for the funeral.

For 22 years Klaassen taught school, including 13 years at Tabor and Meade Bible Academy. He was appointed Welfare Board treasurer in 1966 and served until the merger of the Welfare and Missions Boards.
