ALBERT J. KLAASSEN

Albert J. Klaassen, son of Peter and Maria Klaassen was born March 25, 1898, in Hillsboro, Kansas. He was saved at the age of 13 through the verse in John 6.37: "Him that cometh to me I will in no way cast out." He was baptized on September 2, 1911, in Hillsboro by the Rev. P.E. Nickel and was accepted into the Mennonite Brethren church. In 1918 he moved from Hillsboro to Turnhill, Sask., where he farmed till January, 1962. In 1962 he and his wife moved to Herbert, Sask., where he lived till his sudden passing on September 1. He was a member of the Herbert Church. He reached the age of 71 years.

He entered holy matrimony with Helena Rempel on July 27, 1921, in the Turnhill Church. Rev. Frank Jantzen officiated at their wedding. God gave them 48 years of married life.

He leaves to mourn his sudden passing his wife, Helena Klaassen, one son, Harvey and family of Winnipeg, one daughter, (Mrs.) Jean Malowsky and family of Regina, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, three brothers and seven sisters. He was predeceased by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
