ALICE KENAGY

Alice Kenagy, daughter of Christian and Elizabeth (Yoder) Smucker, was born at West Liberty, Ohio on April 4,1884, and passed away in Portland, Ore. at the Osteopathic Hospital on May 10, 1958, aged 74 years, one month and six days.

Early in her youth she accepted Christ as her Saviour and became a member of the Hopewell congregation near Hubbard, Ore. Later she transfered her membership to the Zion Mennonite church of which she remained a faithful member until her death.

On Feb. 5, 1905, she was married to David Oliver Kenagy who preceded her in death by 24 years. She is survived by two sons, Lester and Roy, and one daughter, Mrs. William (Juanita) Kauffman, all of Hubbard. One son and one daughter preceded her in death. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Elmer Smucker of Hubbard and Verne Smucker of Starke, Fla., and two sisters, Mrs. Albert Yoder of Hubbard and Mrs. Marion Fraiser of Notus, Idaho.

Funeral services were held at the Zion Mennonite Church on May 13 in charge of John Lederach and Clarence Kropf and she was laid to rest in the Zion Cemetery.
