CLYDE O. KEHN

Clyde O. Kehn, son of Andrew and Elizabeth (Koehn) Kehn, was born in Marion county, Kansas, August 6, 1897. Soon after the opening of the Cherokee Strip he came with his parents to Meno, Oklahoma, and had lived in the communities of Meno and Ringwood ever since.

On June 14, 1914, he was baptized upon confession of faith in Jesus Christ and received into the membership of the New Hopedale church, where he was a member at the time of his death.

On November 2, 1924, he was married to Miss Susie Becker, with whom he shared joy and sorrow for over 23 years.

He met death in an auto collision on May 24, 1948, and died almost instantly, reaching the age of 50 years eight months and 18 days.

He leaves to mourn his untimely death: His wife Susie; three daughters, Mrs. Wynona Mae Unruh and her husband Olin, Obera Jeanett and Valeria Jo of the home. One son, Clayton Eugene, preceded him in infancy and also his father. Besides the above he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Kehn; four brothers, Clarence of Meno, Clifford of Lahoma, Victor of Fairview, David of Meno; one sister, Mrs. Clara Kane and husband Frank of Meno; his aged mother-in-law, Mrs. Jacob B. Becker, with whom Clyde and his family were living; and a large number of close relatives.

Besides the ones named four aged uncles survive: Henry A. Kehn, Pryor, Jake S. Kehn, Copeland, Kansas, Isaac A. Kehn, Montezuma, Kansas, and Fred A. Kehn of Isabel, Okla.

The funeral was held May 27 in the New Hopedale church, Rev. H. U. Schmidt officiating assisted by Rev. J. W. Bergen.
