Minister's Daughter Killed in Accident

SERVICES FOR TWO-YEAR-OLD GIRL HELD AT ELIZABETHTOWN, PA.

Lancaster, Pa. — A two-car accident recently claimed the life of two-year-old Charlene Keener, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Walter Keener of Route 1, Mount Joy.

Funeral services were held at the Elizabethtown Mennonite church where her father is minister.

Rev. Keener was holding revival meetings at York's Corners Mennonite church in New York and took his wife and child along to New York on Sunday. On Monday Mrs. Keener and daughter were returning home with Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Miller of Mount Joy when the Miller car collided with another auto. Although neither car was traveling fast, the back door of the Miller car flew open and Charlene was thrown from her mother's lap onto the highway.

Mrs. Keener, the former Martha Hernley, was taken to the hospital suffering shoulder injuries and shock.

Surviving in addition to the parents are seven brothers and sisters.
