text of obituary:

MRS. CATHERINE [sic KATHERINE] KAUFMANN

Catherine [sic Katherine] Ella Ringenberg Kaufmann was born in Bureau county, Ill. to Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Ringenberg November 29, 1880. She died on her birthday November 29, 1951, at the Perry Memorial hospital in Princeton Ill. at the age of 71 years. She was ill only a short time.

On February 10, 1908, she was married to Henry J. Kaufmann who preceded her in death Mar 9, 1947. One daughter and two sons were born to this union.

Mrs. Kaufmann accepted Christ as her Savior in 1895. At the age of 15 she was baptized and received as a member of the Willow Springs Mennonite church Faithfulness to God and the church was a daily characteristic in her life. One of the major concerns was that her children and grandchildren’s lives be church centered.

Surviving are her three children, Alma, John and William and nine grandchildren, all of Tiskilwa, also five half brother and five half sisters.

Funeral services were held at the home and at the Willow Springs Mennonite church Sunday, December 2, in charge of Bishop C. Warren Long. The sermon subject was “The Christian Life From Within,” text, Psa. 34:8. Burial was made in the adjoining cemetery.
