ELIZABETH ANN KAUFMAN

Elizabeth Ann Kaufman, daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth (Lehman) Hershberger, was born in Somerset county, Pennsylvania October 7, 1868, died at her late home in Goshen, Indiana April 8, 1952, aged 83 years, six months, and one day.

She is survived only by nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends,

On March 2, 1890, she was married to Hiram Kaufman, whose death left her a widow since 1904. In 1911 she moved to Indiana, residing first at Middlebury, and since 1929 in Goshen.

She became a Christian as a young woman and for many years has been a member of the Goshen College Mennonite church. Her testimony during her recent illness gave witness of her faith in God and trust in His unerring providence.

Funeral services were held in Goshen on April 10, conducted by Rev. John Moseman and Rev. Russell Krabill. The body was then taken to Davidsville, Pennsylvania where further services were held April 12 in the Kaufman Mennonite church with Rev. Harry Shetler in charge. Interment was made in the Kaufman cemetery.
