RAYMOND KAUFFMAN

Raymond Arthur Kauffman, the youngest child of Dan and Bessie Kauffman was born near Kalispell, Montana, on Feb. 23, 1937 and was accidently shot on Oct. 26, 1951, passing away at the age of 14 years, eight days and three days.

Raymond was a member of the Mennonite church near Creston Montana, always taking an active part in Sunday School and young people’s work. He will be remembered by many for the service rendered in young people's meeting on Sunday evening Oct. 21; also for his quiet Christian disposition which made him many friends.

Surviving are the parents, Dan and Bessie Kauffman; two brothers, Grover and Rollin; three sisters, Ruby (Mrs. Mohn), Goldie (Mrs. Charnell) and Betty at home, all living near Kalispell). Also surviving are five nephews and five nieces, two grandmothers, Rachel Kauffman of Kalispell and Clara Hooks of Pokoma, Maryland, five uncles; Lesslie and Oscar of Kalispell, John in Missouri and two in Maryland, Dessie of Kalispell, one in California and four in Maryland. One brother Donald and one sister Vera preceded him in death.

Funeral services in charge of J. G. Hochstetler and D. D. Brenneman in Wagner and Campell funeral Home. Interment in Fairview cemetery.
