— At Wayland, Iowa, one of the old settlers of the neighborhood and a member of the Sugar Creek church, — Jacob B. Kauffman, died at his farm home on July 12. He was born in France in 1859, thus reaching the age of 84 years. His wife, Anna Lichti Kauffman, and one son survive.
