Retired Teacher Dies at Goshen

Goshen, Ind. — Miss Bernice Jones, 81, a retired teacher, died June 4 at Goshen General Hospital.

A native of the Topeka community, she graduated from Goshen College, received a master’s degree from the University of Chicago, and also took graduate work at the University of Iowa. She taught business education at New Paris and Franklin, Ind. and Yuma, Ariz., where she retired in 1948. In earlier years she taught in rural schools in the Wayland, Iowa area and also at Penn College (Iowa).

Miss Jones was a member of the Eighth Street Mennonite Church. The funeral was conducted Monday, June 8, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home by Rev. A. E. Kreider and Rev. J. N. Smucker.
