LYDIA JESKE

Lydia Jeske of Medicine Hat, Alta. passed away Aug. 15. She was born May 1,1916 to Henry and Katherine Krahn at Graburn, Alta. She helped on the family farm. She married Andrew Jeske Dec. 15, 1943. They farmed near Schuler, Alta. In 1972 they moved to Medicine Hat. Andrew died Nov. 18, 1986. She moved to Chinook Village in 1993 and to Central Park Lodge in June 1998. She was involved in church work, played the organ for 22 years and taught Sunday school for 10 years. Her hobby was gardening and growing flowers. At Chinook Village, she participated in shuffleboard and socializing. Predeceased by Andrew, she is mourned by 1 brother and 1 sister. The funeral was Aug. 18 in Pattison Chapel, Medicine Hat, with Murray Schmidt ministering.
