MOTHER AND SIX YEAR OLD DAUGHTER FREEZE TO DEATH IN STORM AT WINKLER, MAN.

Inman, Kansas, march 21. — John E. Peters was notified by telegram Monday of the death of his sister, Mrs. John Janzen and her six-year old daughter, in the big blizzard and windstorm which struck southern Canada, North Dakota and western Minnesota. Mrs. Janzen lived at Winkler, Manitoba, in southern Canada.

Mrs. Janzen and daughter had been at the home of her brother and started home towards evening in a sleigh. When they started home the temperature was quite mild with a light breeze from the south. However, the wind changed and a terrific snowstorm caught them.

They became lost in the storm and were found the next morning in the sleigh frozen to death. Her husband had believed that his wife and daughter had remained at the home of the brother for the night. The funeral is being held at Winkler on Friday of this week. — Inman Review.
