Conduct Services For 4 Who Died in Crash

MEMBERS OF SASKATOON FAMILY KILLED IN CAR-TRUCK COLLISION

Saskatoon, Sask. — More than 1,000 persons attended funeral services at the Mennonite Brethren church here Sept. 24 for Mr. and Mrs. Peter Janzen and their eight-month-old daughter, Evelyn Mae, who were killed Sept. 21 when their car collided with a gravel truck at an intersection eight miles from here.

Also killed in the crash was Mrs. William Friesen, a bride of eight months and sister of Mr. Janzen. Her husband suffered a number of broken bones but is recovering. They were passengers in the Janzen car.

Funeral services for Mrs. Friesen were held at the Kronstal Old Colony Mennonite Church near Onler, Rev. A. Loewen officiating. Rev. J. J. Thiessen and Rev. P. J. Sawatzky officiate at the services for the Janzen family.
