— Word was received here of the death of J. J. Janzen of Medford, Okla., which occurred Thursday, April 17, at Memorial Hospital, Enid. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Medford Mennonite Church. Mr. Janzen was a brother-in-law of Ferd Voth of Newton.

JOHN J. JANZEN

John J. Janzen, son of John P. and Justina Janzen, was born Dec. 1, 1885 at Newton, Kan. and died April 17, 1958, at the age of 72 years, four months and 17 days. He moved with his parents to Gotebo, Okla.

In 1906 he was baptized and joined the Mennonite church at Gotebo. He was united in marriage to Susie Voth in1911. To this union one son was born. In 1921 the family moved to Medford where they joined the Medford Mennonite church, of which he was a faithful member until his death.

His survivors are his wife, Susie, his son Marvin and daughter-in-law, Regena; three grandchildren, Duaine, Argyle and Vivian; two brothers, Henry of Newton, Kan. and Frank; two sisters-in-law, one nephew and three nieces and a number of other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father and mother and one nephew.

Funeral services were held at the Medford Mennonite Church on April 20 with Rev. Albert Unruh of the Grace church, Enid, and Rev. A. G. Schmidt of Meno, Okla. in charge. — The Bereaved Family.
