Mt. Lake Farmer Dies When Cars Collide

Mt. Lake, Minn. — Funeral services for Abram P. Janzen, 49, Mt. Lake farmer who was fatally injured in a two-car collision on April 7, were conducted April 11 at the Bethel Mennonite Church.

Mr. Janzen, who operated a farm northwest of here, was traveling alone on a blacktop county road when his car was struck broadside by a car driven by Arno Friesen, 49, at an intersection. Mr. Friesen also farms here.

Mr. Janzen was thrown from his auto, and was taken to the Bethel Hospital where he died about 90 minutes later of internal injuries. Mr. Friesen was not injured.

Abram Janzen leaves his wife, Tillie; two children, Mrs. James (Cheryl) Penner of Rochester, Minn. and Gorlyn, 15, of the home; five sisters and five brothers.
