MRS. SUSAN JANTZI

Susan (Ressler) Jantzi, daughter of Rev. Christian L. and Anna Z. Ressler, was born in Elkhart County, Indiana on Oct. 24, 1906, died Feb. 10, 1968 of heart disease at the Lewis County General Hospital, Lowville, N. Y.

On Nov. 2, 1927 she was married to Aaron L. Jantzi in Clarence Center, N. Y. They lived for 39 years on a dairy farm in Martinsburg, N. Y. They were joined by many friends for their 40th wedding anniversary celebration in November 1967.

She became a member of the Mennonite Church in her youth and remained a faithful member until death. She became affiliated with the Conservative Mennonite Congregation near Lowville, N. Y. after her marriage. Funeral Services were held in this church, conducted by Rev. Elias Zehr and Rev. Lloyd Boshart.

Mother expressed her faith by having a deep concern for the personal salvation of her children and grandchildren. Her gentle ways and friendliness won her many friends.

She leaves to cherish the memory of her life her husband; four sons and two daughters, Howard, Paul, and Daniel of Lowville, N. Y., Mark of Fairbanks, Alaska, Ruth Anna (Mrs. Kenneth Smith), both of Lowville, N. Y.; 22 grandchildren; three brothers, L. Andrew Ressler of Wooster, Ohio, Menno Ressler of Sterling, Ohio, and C. L. John Ressler of Glen Rock, Pa.; three sisters, Esther (Mrs. Jonas Hostettler) of North Lawrence, Ohio; Ruth (Mrs. Mahlon Jantzi) of Whitesville, Ohio, and Naomi (Mrs. J. Daniel Zehr) of Gladys, Va.
