DAVID JANTZEN

David Jantzen, son of Henry and Barbara Jantzen nee Hamm, was born August 9, 1875, near the Treck, in the village of Hans-Au, Russia.

On September 12, 1884, he together with his parents and others arrived at Beatrice, Nebraska. He attended the parochial school and later also the district school.

On May 22, 1893, he was baptized upon the confession of his faith by Elder Gerhard Penner and became a member of the Mennonite Church.

On December 29, 1904, he was married to Helen Albrecht. They made their home on a farm near Plymouth, where they lived until the Lord quietly called our Father home in the morning of March 15. This union was blessed with four sons and two daughters, and for over 44 years they were permitted to share joys and sorrows.

Father loved to read the Bible and took active part in the Sunday school.

Mourning his unexpected death are his wife, four sons, two daughters, two daughters-in-law, two grandchildren, one brother, and many relatives and friends. He attained the age of 73 years, seven months and six days. — The Family.
