JOHN B. JANTZ

John B. Jantz, 85, of Greensburg, Kan, died Feb. 8 at the County Hospital, Pratt, Kan, after a long illness. Born Aug 9, 1887, in Marion County, Kansas, he married Elizabeth Wadel on March 13, 1910 in Marion County. He was a farmer and stockman and had lived at Greensburg since 1911. He came to Greensburg in 1911 and moved into town in 1943.

He was a member of the Mennonite Church, Greensburg.

Survivors include the widow; sons Clyde of Hesston, Curtis of Livingston, Calif., Clifford of Canton, Chester of Greensburg, and Clarence of Atwater, Calif.; daughters Mrs. Leona Eason of Winton, Calif., Mrs. Edith Unruh of Durham, and Mrs. Betty Otto of Pleasant Hill, Calif.; brothers, Ben and Solomon, Goessel; sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Unruh and Mrs. Susie Unruh of Goessel; Mrs. Minnie Bergman of Tampa, Mrs. Leona Bergman of Abilene and Katzie Jantz of Newton; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Feb. 12 at the church, Rev. D. A. Raber and Rev., Milo Kauffman officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg.
