Mrs. Abr. Jantz

Mrs. Abraham Jantz, nee Elisabeth Koehn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben P. Koehn, was born May 6, 1885, in McPherson Co., Kansas. In 1903 she was baptized upon the confession of her faith by Elder Johann Ratzlaff and received into the membership of the New Hopedale Mennonite church near Meno, Okla., of which she remained a true member through life.

On Jan. 25, 1914, she married Abraham Jantz. To this union four children were born. Six years ago the family moved to her mother's place and here on Dec. 30, 1930, her husband was called from her side. This was very hard for her, but trusting her Lord she went on faithfully, especially concerned for the training of her children. On Aug. 5, 1935, after spending the evening in singing, they retired as usual. In the morning the children found their mother dead.

She reached the age of 50 years and 3 months. She leaves to mourn her departure her 4 children: Benjamin 19, Caroline 17, Esther 14, and Albert 11, her aged mother, her 97 year old grandmother and a host of other relatives. She has been called home and the mourning shall be turned to rejoicing on that great day!
