ABRAM JANTZ

Abram Jantz died Apr. 6. He was born March 27, 1928 in Laird, Sask., to Henry and Lena Jantz. A major ear infection as a child resulted in a mental handicap for the rest of his life. He enjoyed school and Bible school and had a long memory for details of places and events. The family moved to Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont. in 1947. He helped on the farm and worked in the fruit packing plant. He enjoyed church and family activities. In the early 60s he moved to Bethesda Home in Campden, Ont., but also lived with families in the area. Al and Maude Schwartz be came a second family to him and he enjoyed many trips with them. His child-like faith was an anchor for him. He is survived by brothers Hugo, Henry, Harold and Robert; sisters Linda and Marlene Derksen. The funeral was in Tallman Funeral Home, Vineland.
