OLDEST MEMBER OF WADSWORTH CONGREGATION DIES AT AGE 96

Wadsworth, Ohio. — Mrs. Mary (Stoll) Jacobs, oldest member of First Mennonite Church of Wadsworth, died Dec. 26 at the age of 96.

Born Nov. 2, 1861, she lived in this community all her life. In 1872 she was married to William Jacobs, who died in 1922. For the past four years she made her home with her sister, Mrs. Amanda Stuver, now 88. She is also survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John F. Jacobs, who celebrated their golden wedding in November, and a foster-daughter, Mrs. Blanche Myers of Barberton.

In 1923, at the age of 62, Mrs. Jacobs was baptized into the fellowship at First Church by Rev. L. L. Miller. Her present pastor and neighbor, Rev. A. J. Neuenschwander, used Psa. 27:14 as a text for her funeral service. Interment was in the Woodlawn Cemetery, adjoining her home.
