Four Year Old Boy Drowns in Large Irrigation Ditch.

Reedley, Calif., May 2. — Henry Isaak, the four year old child, of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Isaak, was drowned Tuesday evening in an irrigation ditch which runs near the family residence at the end of Friesen Avenue. The baby was last seen at about 6 o'clock by his father who later went to call the boy for the evening meal. The father started a search for the child and found its small body floating on the water about 100 feet from the home.

The Reedley Fire Department pull-motor squad was called at once and despite every effort was unable to resuscitate the child.

Besides the bereaved parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Isaak, there are left to mourn three sisters and five brothers and the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. P. P. Isaak.

Services will be conducted Friday morning at 9:30 o'clock in the South Mennonite Brethren Church with the pastor, Rev. John Richert officiating. — Reedley Exponent.
