CHAIRMAN OF ILLINOIS MISSION BOARD CALLED AWAY IN DEATH

Metamora, Ill. — Funeral services were held Sunday at the Metamora Mennonite Church for Ralph Imhoff, of Eureka, prominent lay worker in the Illinois (Old) Mennonite Conference and president of the Illinois Mennonite Mission Board. Friends and associates from over the state were among the 1,000 or more persons attending the services.

Church, Community Leader Died

Eureka, Ill. — This community lost a respected businessman, church and civic leader in the passing of Ralph L. Imhoff, 47, who died Oct. 11 in Methodist Hospital, Peoria.

He was the owner and operator of the Eureka Hatchery and represented Illinois in the National Poultry and Hatchery Federation. He served on the local school board for a number of years and was active in community civic clubs. As president of the Illinois Mennonite Mission Board he made an outstanding contribution to the expanding mission program of the (Old) Mennonite church in this state.

Surviving are his wife; one son and two daughters; his mother, Mrs. Nora Imhoff; two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were held at the Metamora Mennonite Church on Oct. 14 and were widely attended.
