NEWTON & VICINITY

● Victor R. Huxman, 66, of Pretty Prairie and the father of James N. Huxman of Newton, died Oct. 8 at Hutchinson Hospital. Funeral services were held Oct. 11 at First Mennonite Church, Pretty Prairie, with Richard Tschetter and Stan Schrag officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. He was a grain elevator manager and a Pretty Prairie native. Other survivors include his wife, the former Florence Krehbiel; one other son, Jesse of Winston-Salem, N.C.; one daughter, Joleen Rinaldo, Sterling, Colo.; four brothers, Milton of Boulder, Colo., Marvin of Hutchinson, Dale of Pretty Prairie and Alvin of Topeka; two sisters, Irene Graber and Mildred Goering, both of Pretty Prairie; and three grandchildren.

VICTOR R. HUXMAN

Victor R. Huxman, 66, died oct. 8, 1987, at Hutchinson (Kan.) Hospital. He was born Feb. 21, 1921, at Pretty Prairie.

On Dec. 17, 1943, he was married to Florence Krehbiel in Pretty Prairie. He was a grain elevator manager and lifetime resident of Pretty Prairie.

He was a member of First Mennonite Church, Pretty Prairie, where funeral services were held Oct. 11, with Richard Tschetter and Stan Schrag officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

His survivors include his wife, of the home, two sons, James N. Huxman of Newton and Jesse E. Huxman of Winston-Salem, N.C.; one daughter, Joleen K. Rinaldo of Sterling, Colo.; four brothers, Milton Huxman of Boulder, Colo., Marvin Huxman of Hutchinson, Dale Huxman of Pretty Prairie, and Alvin Huxman of Topeka; two sisters, Irene Graber and Mildred Goering, both of Pretty Prairie; and three grandchildren.
