MRS. HELENA HUEBNER

Mrs. Helena Huebner (nee Loewen), of Saskatoon, Sask. passed away suddenly on June 16 at the Saskatoon City Hospital following an operation. Funeral services were held in the Nutana Church, Saskatoon, on June 20, with Rev. Eugene Gerbrandt officiating.

Mrs. Huebner was born on January 1, 1891, in Alexanderwohl, South Russia. She accepted Christ and was baptised and received into the Mennonite Brethren Church at an early age and remained a faithful member till death. Her marriage to Cornelius Huebner, took place May 29, 1916. Three daughters were born to this union.

In 1926 they came to Canada and lived at Haywarden, Guernsey, and in Saskatoon. Her husband and one daughter predeceased her. At the funeral service Rev. H. S. Rempel spoke in German, while Rev. Gerbrandt and Rev. J. J. Thiessen spoke in English.

Mrs. Huebner reached the age of 75 years. She leaves to mourn two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Thiessen and Mrs. Susan Block, two sons-in-law, nine grandchildren, four sisters, and two brothers.
