Pioneer Settler at Corn, Okla. Dies

Corn, Okla. — Peter Huebert, a pioneer settler who came to this community when Oklahoma was opened for settlement, died at his home in Corn on Jan. 25. He was 85.

Born in South Russia, Mr. Huebert emigrated to McPherson county, Kan. with his parents when he was two years old. Coming to Oklahoma in the 1890's, he homesteaded on a farm southwest of here and continued to reside there until moving to Corn a few years ago.

Funeral services were held at the Corn M. B. church, Rev. J. P. Kliewer and Rev. J. K. Warkentine officiating. Eight children, two sisters and four brothers survive.
