When I Have Gone Away

When I have gone away, dear heart,
And left the scenes of earth behind,
Each link that forms of life a part,
The higher, larger life to find.

Bring springtime flowers fresh and fair
To lay above my place of rest,
And let them whisper to me there —
The flowers that I love the best.
