MRS. HENRY J. HUEBERT

Mrs. Anna Regier Huebert of Madrid, Neb., daughter of Abraham and Sarah Hildebrandt Regier, was born at Henderson, Neb. on Oct. 19,1891. She departed this life at 127 Friesen Ave., Reedley, Calif., on April 8, 1957 to be eternally with her blessed Lord and Saviour. She attained the age of 65 years.

She received her schooling in the elementary schools of Henderson and as a young girl accepted Christ as her Saviour. Here she was baptized upon this confession of faith by Elder Peter J. Friesen, and received into the membership of the Bethesda Mennonite Church.

On Nov. 19, 1927 she entered holy wedlock with Henry J. Huebert, Rev. John F. Epp officiating. A year later they moved to Madrid Neb. and became members of the First Mennonite Church. She was very active in the church. She carried responsibilities especially in the Ladies Missionary Society. She was a very good mother and felt that she wanted to live longer for the sake of the family.

About eight months ago she sought medical help at Rochester for her cancerous condition. They came to Reedley to spend the winter months with her children and it was during this time that her condition became rapidly worse.

She leaves to mourn her husband Henry J. Huebert; two daughters, Dena, Mrs. peter D. Kroeker, and Dorothy, Mrs. Herschel Witter, both of Reedley; four sons, Arthur of Bakersfield, Arley of Hastings, Neb. Vergil of Elsie, Neb. and Kermit, Ogallala, neb.; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Abraham A. of Henderson, Peter A. or Madrid, John A. of York Neb., and many other friend [sic] and relatives.

Funeral services were conducted April 11,1957, at the First Mennonite Church of Reedley. Rev. Aaron J. Epp, the pastor, officiated and used John 10:28 as a sermon text. A trio comprised of Mrs. Alvin Friesen, Mrs. Paul Ruth and Mrs. Aaron J. Epp sang three numbers. Mrs. Arthur Krehbiel was at the organ. Burial was made in the Reedley cemetery.
