CALLED BY DEATH AFTER BIDDING GOOD-BY TO MISSIONARY SON
Goshen, Ind. — Funeral services for Samuel S. Hostetler, 65, well known retired farmer, were held at the Clinton Frame Mennonite church east of here on Oct. 8.
Mr. Hostetler, who had farmed in the Shipshewana, Middlebury and New Paris communities, died at his home the morning of Oct. 6 shortly after bidding good-by to his son, Rev. Jacob Hostetler, newly appointed missionary to the Dominican Republic.
He leaves his wife, the former Mattie Hershberger, six sons and six daughters, and 16 grandchildren.
