Charter Member Dies At Nappanee, Ind.

Nappanee, Ind. — Mrs. Sophia (Bleile) Holaway, 86, a charter member of the North Main Street Mennonite Church here, died Sept. 6 of a heart ailment and other complications.

Born in Germany, she came to the Nappanee community with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Bleile. In 1891 she was married to Jacob Holaway, who died in 1950.

She is survived by three daughters, Lillie Mast and Mary Miller of Nappanee and Ethel Neuhauser of Eureka, Ill.; three sons, Clarence of Nappanee, Fred of Akron, Ind. and John of Milford, Ind.; 32 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren.

Bishop Homer North had charge of the funeral service and burial was made in the Union Center cemetery northeast of Nappanee.
