Two Long-Time Members Of Ohio Congregation Die Unexpectedly

Kidron, Ohio. — Two long-time members of the Kidron Mennonite Church, both natives of this area and retired farmers, died unexpectedly within a few days' time.

Amos J. Nussbaum, 66, suffered a heart attack Dec. 23 while about his work at the Kidron Church, where he and his wife had served as custodians for the past 11 years. He was found semi-conscious by James O. Lehman and rushed by ambulance to Dunlap Hospital in Orrville, where he died a short time later.

Surviving in the immediate family are his widow, a son and daughter and four sisters. The funeral was conducted Dec. 26 at the church.

On Dec. 24 funeral services were held at the same church for John C. Hofstetter, 87, who died Dec. 20 while eating the noon meal at his home near Dalton. He had been in ill health for some time. Surviving are two sons, two grandchildren, and a brother, Simon.
