JOHN THOMAS HOFFMAN

John Thomas Hoffman was born on May 25, 1882, at Kansas City, Kans. He departed this life Dec. 29, 1955, at the age of 73 years, eight months and three days. His death resulted from a sudden stroke early Thursday morning.

He leaves to mourn his departure his wife Elvina of the home at 402 E. Oak, Enid, Okla.; five daughters, Mrs. Elfreda Wright of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Vernice Wedel of Garber, Okla., Mrs. Betty Batson and Mrs. Juanita Batchelder of Enid, and Mrs. Wanda Wedel of Glenco; two sons, Jon Thomas Hoffman, Jr. of the home and Arthur Johnson of Enid; one brother and 21 grandchildren.

Mr. Hoffman was a fine man. He was never too busy to help those in need. He was always concerned about all the children and their needs and would give his things to his children and friends if they needed it. We miss him, not for the things he did, but for his goodness and kindness to everyone.

The funeral took place onJan. 2 at the Grace Mennonite church with Albert J. Unruh in charge.
