FATHER OF THREE FATALLY INJURED WHEN CAR TURNS OVER

Huron, S. D. — One of the most widely attended funeral services ever held at the Bethel K. M. B. church took place Sunday, Feb. 28, as friends and relatives gathered in tribute to Mike J. Hofer, 44, who was killed in a highway accident Feb. 25. Over 1,000 persons attended the services, conducted by Rev. Joe E. Wipf of Huron and Rev. G. L. Classen, the pastor.

Mr. Hofer, a life-time resident of the Yale community, lost his life when his car left highway 14 near Cavour and turned end over end. He is survived by his wife, Sally, three children, and 12 brothers and sisters.
