Father Victim of Hunting Accident

Marion, S. D. — Relatives here received word that Elias Hoch, 41, was instantly killed in a hunting accident near Wolf Point, Mont.

According to the report received here, Mr. Hoch was hunting deer with his son David, 14, in a heavily wooded area. The father squatted down with his binoculars and watched an approaching deer, then told his son behind him to shoot. After two shots he raised up and was struck in the head by a third shot.

Mr. Hoch was the son of Hulda Ortman Hoch, now deceased, who was formerly of this community.
