LYDIA MILLER HIRSCHLER

Lydia, daughter of Jacob and Eugenia Miller, was born in the parental home near Hanston, Kansas, on December 29, 1901. She passed away on December 16, 1943, at the age of 41 years, 11 months and 17 days. A severe attack of the flu was the cause of her death.

She was united in marriage with Menno Hirschler on August 19, 1934. One child, Thelma Ann, was born to this marriage. In February, 1936, they moved to their farm home northwest of Hanston and have lived there since that time.

She was baptized upon the confession of her faith in Christ, on April 8, 1917, by Rev. Christian Hirschler and received into the membership of the Hanston Mennonite Church. She has been a faithful and devoted member through these years. Even though unable to hear the sermons, she loved to attend worship services in her Lord's house.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A. S. Bechtel, her pastor, on Saturday afternoon, Dec. 19. Burial was made on the Mennonite cemetery.
