CATHERINE BLOSSER HILTY

Mrs. Catherine Blosser Hilty, daughter of the late Bishop John and Magdalena Brenneman Blosser, was born Nov. 9, 1877, near New Stark, Ohio, and entered into rest Sept. 12, 1946, at Bluffton, Ohio, at the age of 68 years. Following a year’s stay at Coleville, Calif., she had arrived in Bluffton only a few hours before her death.

As a young girl she was baptized upon her confession of faith and united with the Mennonite church. To this faith she remained true as a devoted Christian throughout her life.

She was united in marriage with John A. Hilty on May 30, 1912. Two sons were born to this union. She is survived by her husband the two sons. John Maurice of Coleville, Calif., and James David, now a student at Bluffton College, and an adopted daughter, Mrs. Ruth Braden, of Los Angeles, Calif.

Funeral services were held in the First Mennonite Church, Bluffton, O., Sept. 14, and burial in the Hasson Cemetery, near New Stark, O., followed on the 15th.
