MANITOBA PIONEER PASSES AWAY

Altona, Manitoba, — A large congregation of relatives and friends attended funeral services at the Altona Bergthaler church for Mrs. Tina Hildebrand, 86, who came to the U. S. from Russia with her parents, the John Sawatzkys, in 1874. A few years later the family pioneered in the Steinbach district of Manitoba. Rev. Jacob Unrau of Rosenfeld conducted the funeral.
