MRS. GERHARD HIEBNER

Aganetha (Friesen) Hiebner was born Nov. 19, 1884 in Hamilton County, Nebraska to Thomas and Anna (Friesent Freisen. She died on Good Friday, April 12, 1974 after a three-week hospitalization, reaching the age of 89.

She was baptized on June 1, 1903 by Elder Peter J. Friesen and received into the Bethesda Mennonite Church, Henderson, Neb.

On Oct. 15, 1903 she was married to Gerhard Hiebner. They observed their 25th wedding anniversary on Oct. 15, 1928. Mr. Hiebner passed away June 22, 1929.

She was an active member of Mission Circle I and when she was able helped sew for relief.

Surviving her are her children, Henry and Kathrina Hiebner, George and Matilda Hiebner of Henderson, Cornelius and Elinor Hiebner of Mountain Lake, Minn., Irvin and Martha Hiebner and Albert and Inez Hiebner of Henderson, Mrs. Anna Buller of York, Agnes Hiebner of Henderson, Katherine and Herman J. Epp of Henderson, Margaret and John W. Peters of Aurora, and Elizabeth and John W. Nunnenkamp of Sturgeon, Mo.; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Thomas Hiebner of Henderson, 46 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Rempel of Langham, Sask., and Mrs. Maria Epp of Henderson.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Thomas, in 1965; one son-in-law, Klaas Buller; one great-grandson, three sisters and two brothers.
