MRS. ELIZABETH HIEBERT

Mrs. Elizabeth Enns Hiebert was born Dec. 21, 1864, in South Russia. Her parents came to America in 1874, when she was nine years old, and settled near Mt. Lake. Minn.

She accepted the Lord as her personal Savior and was baptized when she was 20 years of age, in 1884, at Mt, Lake.

She was married to Pete C. Hiebert at Mt. Lake, Feb. 9, 1890. To this union were born seven children. Six are living and one died in Infancy.

They moved to Aberdeen, Idaho on a farm in 1911, and in 1920 they moved on a farm near Salem, Oregon. Three years later they moved to Dallas, Oregon, where they made their home until Father Hiebert died in 1931. She had made her home with her daughter Anna for the past 16 years. She was bed-fast for seven and one-half years and the last month was seriously ill.

The Lord was pleased to take her home on Jan. 30 at 12 o'clock noon, having reached the age of 85 years, one month and nine days. Since coming to Oregon she was a member of the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren church in Dallas.

Surviving are her children, Mrs. Helen Gossen, Peter and Frank of Dallas, Nels Hiebert of Salem, Mrs. Anna Steiner of Silverton, Mrs. Elisabeth Busselle of Portland; one sister, Mrs. J. J. Wiens of Salem, and one brother, Peter Enns of Mt. Lake, Minn.; 15 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

The funeral services were held in Dallas at the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren church Saturday, Feb. 4, 1950, at 2 o’clock by Rev. W. A. Regier of Pratum and Rev. A. P. Toews of Dallas. — The Bereaved Family.
