Son of Goshen Professor Died

Goshen, Ind. — Funeral services were conducted in the Goshen College Chapel on Nov.26 for Paul David Hertzler, 30, son of Prof and Mrs. Silas Hertzler, who died Nov. 22 at Doctors' Hospital in Washington, D. C. after being ill seven weeks with encephalitis.

The young man held degrees from Goshen College and Purdue University, receiving a B. S. in civil engineering from the latter school in 1952. At the time of death he was assistant residential engineer of Halifax County, Va. and for three years had been an engineer for the Virginia state highway department.

Surviving are his wife, the former Doris Blankenship; his parents; a grandmother, Mrs. Barbara Weaver of Goshen; one brother and three sisters.
