Centenarian Dies At Manheim, Pa.

AMOS H. HERSHEY OBSERVED 100TH BIRTHDAY LAST NOVEMBER

Manheim, Pa. — Funeral services for Amos H. Hershey, who reached his 100th birthday last Nov. 29, were conducted at the Manheim Mennonite Church on Jan. 20. Death came Jan. 17 at his home in Manheim.

Mr. Hershey was born near here and spent his entire life in this community. He farmed for a number of years, and also had interests in a family enterprise, the Hershey Machine and Foundry Co. He was a charter member of the Eastern Mennonite Board of Missions and Charities.

Surviving are three daughters and one son, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A daughter, Mrs. Geo J. Lapp, was a missionary to India for a number of years.
