17-YEAR-OLD AMISH YOUTH KILLED WHEN AUTO OVERTURNS
Goshen, Ind. — Funeral services for Joseph Hershberger, 17, fatally injured in an auto accident near here May 19, were held at the home near Middlebury on May 22. Surviving are the parents, Rudy M. and Polly Hershberger, and seven younger brothers and sisters.
The young man and three other teen-age young people were passengers in a car driven by Sam P. Schwartz, 20, of Middlebury when it went out of control, snapped off a utility pole, rolled over and broke another pole. The Hershberger youth was thrown out and died of a fractured skull while the others escaped with minor injuries.
