Father of Four Burns To Death in Truck

SERVICES FOR DENNIS HERSHBERBER [sic HERSHBERGER], 46, HELD AT WALNUT CREEK, O.

Sugarcreek, Ohio. — Funeral services for Dennis Hershberger, 46, who died May 18 in the flaming cab of a tractor-trailer truck in southern Ohio, were arranged for Thursday, May 21, at the Walnut Creek Mennonite Church.

A native of Holmes County and father of four children, Hershberger was en route from Dover to Augusta, Ga. with a load of steel when the fatal accident took place. Police officers reported that the truck left Highway 62 in Brown County, jackknifed and overturned in a field. The cab of the truck then burst into flames. Cause of the accident was not determined.

Survivors include the widow, Carrie; a son, Terry, and three daughters, cheryl, Joan and Joyce, all of the home; his mother, Mrs. W. O. (Mary) Hershberger; and five brothers.
